Which Channels Should I Market My Menu On?

Whether you’ve designed your professional menu from scratch or created it using one of Menuzen’s free design templates, the next step is figuring out which avenues to share it through.

Here are the top five channels you should be using to market your restaurant, cafe or pub menu:

Website

It’s no surprise that 90% of customers take to researching a restaurant online – making your website a paramount touchpoint. Your website can make or break a customer’s decision to dine in. With that said, your website should contain all the information a new customer would want to know about your restaurant. This includes your business description, contact information, opening hours, social media links, and of course, your menu and daily or weekly specials!

Social Media

Social media is a powerful tool for restaurants to connect with their audience. In fact, nearly 50% of customers use social media to learn about restaurants. By linking your menu in your profile or having it in your Story Highlights, you can give customers a taste of what you offer. In terms of your Instagram Feed, we recommend posting about your menu whenever there are updates to share – such as a new menu item or seasonal specials.

Food Delivery Apps

This one is self-explanatory, but also one of the key channels you need to list your menu on. With the popularity of food delivery skyrocketing in recent years, third-party delivery apps like UberEats, FoodPanda, Grubhub, Deliveroo and DoorDash help your restaurant to tap into a whole new market. Just ensure that your menu is kept up-to-date across each of these apps!

Online Directories

At the very least, your menu needs to be readily available on your Google My Business listing. This can be uploaded in the Photos section to give potential customers an idea of what your restaurant, cafe or pub offers. Other online directories – like Yelp, Zomato and TripAdvisor – that function as review websites are also trusted sources customers turn to. Listing your menu on all these platforms is fantastic for exposure, but can prove tedious when you need to make edits.

Menuzen

Last but not least, Menuzen is the revolutionary new software that’s making waves in the hospitality industry. Functioning as both a free menu creator and menu management tool, Menuzen also allows you to display your final menu creations via your own unique URL. This live link displays your restaurant’s menu, with all changes updated in real-time. You can also share your menu through social media, website or by getting customers to scan your QR code in-store. There are even future plans for Menuzen to integrate into leading platforms, too!
